Frequently asked questions
What is Sugar Wax?
Sugar wax is an all-natural paste that extracts hair from the root and gently exfoliates, leaving skin smooth and refreshed!
How long do results last?
Results typically last 3–6 weeks, depending on how long you’ve been sugaring and your individual hair growth cycle. With consistent sugaring over time, hair may grow back finer and at a slower rate.
What should I do to prepare my skin for sugaring?
Gently exfoliate 2 days before sugaring—avoid exfoliating the day before. On the day of sugaring, ensure your skin is clean and dry so the sugar wax can properly adhere to the hair.
How do I care for my skin after sugaring?
For the first 24–48 hours, avoid intense physical activity that causes excessive sweating, as this can irritate freshly sugared skin. Stay out of swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, and bodies of water to reduce the risk of irritation or infection. After 48 hours, begin gently exfoliating the area and continue exfoliating regularly (2-3 times a week) to help prevent ingrown hairs and keep skin smooth. Be sure to moisturize daily and avoid tight clothing on the treated area during the first day to allow the skin to breathe.
Sugaring vs Shaving
Sugaring provides longer-lasting results—typically 3–6 weeks—while shaving usually lasts only 1–3 days. Sugar wax removes hair directly from the root, whereas shaving cuts hair at the surface of the skin, increasing the risk of cuts and ingrown hairs.
Sugaring vs Traditional waxing
Sugar wax is a gentler hair removal method because unlike traditional wax it’s applied at room temperature, reducing the risk of burning the skin. It’s also water-soluble, meaning it can be easily removed with water—unlike traditional wax, which requires an oil-based remover.
